Rapid Journal: MyBest Friends

My best friend is Jennie. She is Asian (like me!) and isadopted. We have been in the same class for 3^rd, 4^th, and5^th grade. We didn’t become good friends until the summer beforefifth grade. We started going to the movies together and then started hangingout more, and now we’re best friends. We help each other with homework and talkabout what it’s like at Webster and what it’s like at Palms. We talk about howmuch better the middle schools are and whether it would be better if I went toPalms or if she went to Webster. We also play computer games like Webkinz (fungames), Petz Vet (we love to give surgery to iguanas), an African animal game(but the flamingoes die of thirst even though they are standing in a lake), orFish Tycoon on Yahoo Games (the fish die really quickly). We love to play thegames on Yahoo. Coffee Rush, Hot Dog Bush, and Fish Tycoon are fun!

We both have dogs. Jennie has aMaltese-Poodle mix and a poodle. Her Maltese-Poodle mix is three years old andis white and her Poodle is gray and fourteen years old! I have a husky mix anda Collie or German Shepard or Golden Retriever mix. She likes to play with mydogs and I like to play with hers.

We both also practice pillowfighting and formed a club. Maya also practices with her (I have yet to battleher…) and we are the members of the club so far. Soon we will schedule ameeting and a practice.

She goes to Palms Middle School, soI don’t see her very often anymore, but we still get together sometimes. Now wecall each other on the phone and e-mail each other a lot. Today I’m going to goto her house and hang out with her. I can’t wait, and neither can she. I’mgoing to stay for dinner at her house, and we might get dessert (she and hermoms love desserts).

We both like to talk like chipmunksand believe that instead of fast-forwarding the voices for Alvin and theChipmunks, Disney could have saved a lot of money by hiring us for the voices.

We both like flowers, crocheting,talking, and pillow fighting. We are also “floater” people - we don’t hang outwith the same people over and over again, except each other. We both like sushiand ramen… we could eat tons! (Together, of course!) We also like the fact thatwe are both crazy and love Webkinz. She is like another sister (in fact, tonsof people think we’re sisters!) except not annoying (well, maybe sometimes) andshe likes to giggle a lot. She is someone that is kind and caring.

Celi is my sister. She is crazy andloves penguins and rubber ducks. We agree and disagree on all sorts of stuff, like where the crayfishare, what animals are best, and who’s Webkinz are better. She talks like achipmunk too, like Jennie and me. She is very shy and sensitive. She does not liketo clean up anything at all. She loves to makes Fluffy talk. Fluffy is herstuffed Webkinz penguin. Fluffy has a lot of attitude and can “get you” if youdo or say something bad or evil concerning her and she puts you on the list.Trust me, Fluffy is not someone to mess with.

Ryan is my cousin in New York.We’ve only seen each other once, and in about ten minutes, we were greatfriends. We love seeing each other, even though we’ve only seen each other onlyonce in our lives. We still always talk about when she’ll come to visit, orwhen I will go visit her. We email each other and that is about the only way wecommunicate besides calling and sending letters. She is about half a yearyounger that me.

Emily is my other friend. I thinkshe is the tallest so far, and is Celi’s BFF. She is crazy like Celi and thetwo of them just go together. To tell you the truth, she is not like me at all.She plays the piano really well. She likes to hurt Fluffy and likes to makeCeli mad. It doesn’t really work on Celi because Emily is never serious aboutanything.

Melissa is also my friend. We liketo draw, and she is teaching me how to draw better pictures. She is the best atdrawing Japanese anime: they look so cute! She is a great artist and teaches mesome really good techniques. She is a very nice person to have as a friend,even if she doesn’t talk very much.

Sierra is another of my bestfriends. Jennie, Sierra, and I always hung out together in fifth grade. Sierranow goes to Palms, so we communicate by email. I think she is one of the bestfriends you could have, even if you fight a lot with her.

Lydia is another of my friends. Sheis very nice and is very athletic. She can bat softball really hard. She’s oneof the reasons we won the fifth grade softball game against the staff. We liketo play foursquare with Jennie, Sierra, Olivia, and Daniella.

Olivia is Jennie’s and my bestfriend. We like to play foursquare together. (I mentioned this in the lastparagraph.) She plays softball and is really funny. She has a trampoline at herhouse and we love to jump and kick balls around in there. She is veryprofessional and can make the best projects.

Sara is very fun. She is short andthinks of the best ideas for games. She is very nice, but can go way too crazysometimes. We did Junior lifeguard together for the summer and are now greatswimmers. (Sometimes we swam one hundred laps a day!) We were really upset whenwe couldn’t go to the Junior Lifeguard Championship just because nobody else onthe team was ready for it, and you needed six people on a team. Anyway, she isreally nice and fun to be around.

Mako is another friend. He isreally funny but sometimes too crazy. He and his friends took my shoe andtossed up in a (short) tree. Then they threw all their shoes (and mine) atJennie, Jean, Laura, Sierra, and me. The only thing was that my other friendskept teasing me that he was my boyfriend and that he liked me and I liked himback. (This is totally untrue! He is not my boyfriend and I do not like him!)

Aaron is my brother. As much as Iwould like to deny it, he is very nice to me. He can be fun and crazy, butsometimes he can be mean. Still, he is cute (especially when he is sleeping)and is fun to play with. We love to play Pokémon cards, Nintendo DS andNintendo 64 together.

Lilia is another friend of mine. Wemet through Jennie at her Halloween party. We just met and suddenly we foundfriends in each other. We haven’t seen each other much, but we are stillfriends. I can’t wait until we see each other again.

This is how my friends woulddescribe me as: funny, crazy, smart, nice, and the best friend ever! (Jennietold me this.)

These are my friends, and they arethe best friends I could ever have. Nobody could wish for better ones.
